Introduction
I have chosen to include my Research Project essay, plan and presentation as they best represent my research skills, as I have referenced thoroughly within the essay and I have used a range of sources from newspapers, books, magazines, videos and academic papers. It also shows my ability to take feedback from lecturers and use it to improve the quality of my work, as I have tweaked some of my research in order to improve the content of the presentation

Essay
I have included my essay as it shows that I am capable of conducting research, using references properly and that I am able to communicate it to others including non musicians. But it also demonstrates my general knowledge of artists and genres - both past and current, so I will be able to apply their common features to my own music, which may be required of me if it is stated in a brief given by Creative Scotland
Presentation Plan
I have included my plan it shows my ability to create concise plans and proposals for work that I may create under a brief. It shows that I can effectively communicate my ideas to others

Presentation
I included my research project presentation as it demonstrates my ability to apply skills and techniques that I have learned via research, to music as I had done so for the harmony, rhythm and timbre aspects of my presentation
Conclusion
