Introduction
This page contains work that I completed inside and outside of college during my HND1, all of which were featured in my GU 1. These works are mostly from Audio for Multimedia and Recording Techniques where I learned different skills and industry standard practices under the guidance of a lecturer. Completing the work enabled me to independently create my Creative Project in HND2 which has further cemented my skills in studio work and mixing/mastering which will allow me to create a successful EP.

Plan
I have chosen to share my Recording Techniques plan as it shows my planning and research skills which go hand in hand within this project as I had to thoroughly research mic types, mic placements and other recording techniques in order to create a clear and concise plan that will help my recording and mixing process go smoothly
Mixing and mastering Process
I have included the process from behind my mix from HND1 as it contrasts with my Creative Project I completed this year, as it shows that I was able to quickly learn new skills in the studio with industry standard equipment in comparison to me improvising and creating a ''home studio'' to complete work last year
Practice Submission
An ability that I show within this project is my creativity as I had to think outside the box to come up with new sounds that I couldn't find else where, and record them, doing this allowed me develop a high level of creativity over my course by practicing these submissions and by challenging myself
Plan and Methodology
I have included plans and methodologies on this page to show how I have improved my planning and presenting stages of a professional project, as you can see in my Project Proposal which is much more detailed and contains more specific information with clear steps, which is more professional than the ones I completed last year

Final Submission
I have chosen to include my Audio for Multimedia Sounddesgin as it shows my use of transferable skills that I learnt in other areas, such as the use of video editing software such as iMovie and PremierPro which I used in Session Skills last year. The use of transferrable skills will be important for the production of an EP as I will have to take on multiple roles e.g. from composer, instrumentalist to a studio engineer and mixing/mastering engineer
Plan and Methodology
I have included my plan and methodology as it shows that I am able of communicating my ideas and creative processes to others. An essential skill for presenting ideas in a professional environment which I may have to do for the EP

The After
I have chosen to include my soundtrack for the short film in the Graded Unit as it shows that I can work well under pressure since I only had an hour to record and edit the entire track. It also shows my keen interest in composition as I like working on instrumental music and would like to pursue a career in Sound tracking for film, games and other forms of media.
Notation
I have included the notation for the short soundtrack as it shows my ability to communicate clearly in terms of music as my use of scores can easily communicate musical ideas to others.

Conclusion
For the ''The After'' I wanted to challenge myself to see how well I can complete work under pressure or how creative I can be with set limitations. I did this by giving myself only an hour to record and edit all the stems and by only using one instrument to record all the parts (apart from the analogue pad drone). I also did this for reliability, I created and edited the track in such a short period of time to ensure that the film producer could pass on the track to their editor and add it to the film, so that they had enough time to make any changes and then submit it to EIFF.

The AFMM and RechTech work also shows my ability to improvise and adapt to challenges as I was able to create professional projects using basic software and equipment during the Corona Virus Pandemic . These skills I learned last year will be beneficial when creating an EP as I already have experience in creating music for professional use.
